GTD develops a multi-modal durian maturity assessment platform using GDD, Acoustic AI, and NIR sensing to prevent premature harvesting, ensure export quality, and enable traceability.

"Durian Guardian"

Durian Guardian is an AI-powered crop health monitoring platform that predicts disease and pest outbreaks using weather data, IoT sensors, and computer vision to support proactive farm management.

"Kanopi AI"

Kanopi AI is an offline, smartphone-based crop scouting platform that continuously scans fields while farmers walk, using on-device AI and geotagging to detect diseases early and generate location-specific management recommendations.

"GATI CoughSense"

GATI CoughSense, an AI-powered system that uses audio signal processing and neural networks to monitor pig coughs and barn environments, enabling real-time swine disease detection and reduced mortality rates.

Third-prize Winner
"Vaja Kaset"

Vaja Kaset is a LINE-based AI farming assistant that builds farmer profiles over time and delivers personalized weather and pest alerts through a cooperative-friendly shared credit system.

What is
AGRISPARK?

AGRISPARK is Thailand’s innovation-driven hackathon connecting agricultural challenges from the field with solution developers. It was initiated by the German-Thai Agricultural Cooperation (GETHAC).

The first edition was launched in mid 2025 with "Hack the Hills!" theme to tackle one of Thailand’s biggest challenges: maize residue management and the burning crisis in steep terrains of upland areas.

This year, AGRISPARK makes its comeback with a new theme: "Farm Smarter". Because every farming decision counts. It challenges the lack of AI driven crop production and farm management tools for small holder farmers. Thus, this AI-driven Smart Advisory theme was born.

Problem Statement

Farmers, specifically smallholder farmers, across Southeast Asia are navigating increasing challenges such as climate change, soil degradation, labor shortage, limited access to finance, rising costs, and market uncertainties.

At the same time, related data, powerful processing technologies, and latest Artificial Intelligence are available. The challenge lies in combining data and technologies into a tool that provides clear, usable decision support to smallholder farmers in their daily operations.

AGRISPARK 2.0 brings together innovators, researchers, and the agricultural industry to build AI solutions for smallholder farmers or for those who support them, that work in real farming contexts. 

The Challenge

This year, AGRISPARK focuses on one core question: How can AI help farmers and advisory systems make smarter decisions? 

We are looking for solutions that turn complex information into simple, practical recommendations for small holder farmers directly or for those who support them.

Remarks: AGRISPARK provides travel and accommodation allowance to support the expenditure for the Finalist Teams to come for the Final Pitch in Bangkok with the total amount of 10,000THB/Team. Please note that it is applied to domestic travel in Thailand only.

Training & Mentoring

• A FREE opportunity to get trained on "PartyRock" by AWS, a tool to develop engaging and useful apps with generative AI on 25 March 2026 at 5 - 8PM (Bangkok Time) via Zoom with below details:

• Finalist Teams to live Final Pitch at the Farmer Future Exchange Zone at AGRITECHNICA Asia & HortEX 2026, a leading global exhibition in agricultural innovation, technology and machinery with dynamic zones (expert stage, seminars, startups zone, innovation booth and B2B networking area) visited by policymakers, public sector, private companies, NGOs and farmers from national and international level.
